About The Department
Bullock Creek Fire-Rescue is an all volunteer Fire Department located in one of the most western districts in York County. The Department was incorporated in 1962 as Bullock Creek Fire Department. However, with the varying Calls For Service that the department gets, the department is now known as Bullock Creek Fire-Rescue. The Fire District consists of 55 square miles and is comprised mostly of farm land and rural homesteads. The District population is around 1000 citizens. With a call base of around 50 calls per year, only a few commercial farms and a few churches, the Bullock Creek Fire District is truly “God’s Country”.
Bullock Creek Fire-Rescue has one station located at 2250 Highway 97 in Sharon, South Carolina. Apparatus consists of 2 Grass/Brush Trucks, 2 Engines, 1 Service Truck and 1 Tanker. The personnel is a tight-knit 16 Members.
About The Members
The Membership of Bullock Creek Fire-Rescue has unselfishly donated countless hours of their time, time away from their families, to gain invaluable training and knowledge in various disciplines of The Fire Service. Whether it be the numerous classes pertaining to Fire Suppression, Members also have disciplines in Technical Rescue, Auto Extrication, Cell Tower Rescue, Tree Rescue, Farm Machinery Extrication, Swiftwater Rescue, and much more.
Most of the Members are either life long citizens of Bullock Creek Fire District, or their family roots run deep within the soil. That in itself makes for a passion and a love that cannot be taught. Bullock Creek Fire-Rescue Members will always put forth 110% effort for any Call for Service.
